Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met here today with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. During the meeting, they discussed regional developments, especially the situation in Syrian and its social and humanitarian consequences on Jordan. Ensour outlined Jordan's role in hosting the Syrian refugees, noting that Jordan is hosting more than 250,000 Syrian refugees. Talks also dealt with the Palestinian cause and the U.N. General Assembly's recent vote to grant Palestine the status of observer.
