Cross-border delivery of humanitarian aid to Syrians has received unanimous UN Security Council authorization, according to dpa. Sponsored by Australia, Luxembourg and Jordan, the resolution is aimed at getting aid via direct routes to nearly 3 million people who have not had secure food supplies or access to basic health services for many months.
