Jazan Border Guard Patrols Foil Smuggling Attempt of More than Half Ton of Hashish

Official spokesman for the border guards said that the border guards, at Um Al-Raed center of Frasan border guards sector in Jazan region, have managed on Monday 07/07/2014 to foil smuggling attempt of 525 kilogram of Hashish.
The spokesman mentioned that the border guard patrols spotted a vessel as it entered territorial waters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and after monitoring and following it up, they intercepted and seized it with the above mentioned amount of Hashish.
Six smugglers (Yemeni nationals) have been arrested in the operation, in addition to their two clients (Saudi national), in Makkah Region, who were arrested on Wednesday 09/07/2014.
Persons involved in the crime were referred to the pertinent authorities to complete legal procedures, against them.
