President of the Iraqi Kurdistan region Masoud Barzani discussed by telephone on Wednesday with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden the latest security and political developments in Iraq. A statement by the White House said the two sides agreed on the need to accelerate the government formation process pursuant to the time-lines set forth in the Iraqi constitution.
