A cameraman with Russian state broadcaster Channel One has been killed in eastern Ukraine, the station reported Monday, according to dpa. Anatoly Klyan died from injuries after being shot in the stomach by Ukrainian government forces while working in the Donetsk region, Channel One stated. The Russian Foreign Ministry urged authorities in Kiev to launch an investigation into the incident. Klyan is the third Russian journalist to die in Ukraine this month, the Itar-Tass news agency reported. The violence comes as a ceasefire between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian rebels is due to end at 10 pm (1900 GMT).
