Police say that the death toll in the collapse of a two-storey hotel in southern India has climbed to 17 as rescue workers dig through debris. Police officer Anurag Sharma said Tuesday that another 20 people were hurt after the City Light hotel collapsed in a Hyderabad city suburb. The accident took place early Monday morning. Sharma said it was unclear if more people were trapped but rescue teams were working to clear the debris, according to a report of the Associated Press. The hotel is located in the Secunderabad suburb of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh state.
