The Saudi embassy in Cairo organized here today a graduation ceremony to honor a group of female and male students on scholarships for their graduation this year from a number of Egyptian universities. The function was held under the patronage of Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, Saudi ambassador to Egypt, who is also Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the Arab League, and the attendance of Cultural Attache Dr. Khalid Al-Waheebi. Ambassador Gattan gave an account on education during the current era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, citing that the number of universities have doubled to become 28 governmental universities, nine private universities, and 31 colleges scattering in all parts of the wide country in addition to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program for external scholarship which currently accommodates 150,000 female and male students.
