Pakistani fighter jets Tuesday killed 47 militants in fresh airstrikes targeting hideouts in the country's tribal north-west, the military said. Twenty-seven militants were killed in airstrikes in North Waziristan near the Afghan border, dpa quoted the military as saying. Eleven hideouts and a cache of arms and ammunition were destroyed. In a separate bombing, jets destroyed 12 hideouts in the tribal district of Khyber, killing 20 insurgents.
