The Pakistani army on Saturday said at least 30 militants were killed after fighter jets bombed their hideouts in two tribal districts in the restive northwest, according to dpa/ The attacks were launched in Khyber and North Waziristan, two of the seven tribal districts. Military spokesman Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa said the first strikes were launched in Khyber, where jets "destroyed two hideouts close to the Pak-Afghan border ... killing 10 terrorists." The second airstrike, launched three hours later, targeted three hideouts in Hassu Khel in North Waziristan "killing 20 terrorists."
