Israel - to implement UN resolutions would mean the green light for Israel to continue its tyranny as it has become immune against dictates of the international law. In fact, this is fully rejected by my country and all peace-and-justice loving countries. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and deplores Israel's continued, systematic violation of the Palestinian human rights; and Israel's constant campaigns of murder, arrests, assaults and practices of all kinds of repression, torture and oppression against the people in the occupied Palestinian and Arab territories. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also condemns and denounces Israel's campaign of aggression and settlement in Al-Quds City as well as Israel's violation of the sanctity of the Islamic holy sites. In fact, this is a clear violation of UN resolutions and a blatant challenge to the will of the international community, and it adds obstacles on the way of the resumption of negotiations and the achievement of peace in the region. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns the continuation and acceleration of Israel's settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territories; the continuation of military operations in Gaza; the intensification of illegal actions in the West Bank; the continued provocative actions against the Palestinians and their lands and holy places; the implementation of unilateral measures; and the creation of new facts on the ground following the policy of fait accompli," Trad added. Trad reiterated Saudi Arabia's call for exerting maximum efforts to stop Israel's settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and to enforce the relevant international resolutions, particularly Security Council Resolutions 465 and 497 which confirm the illegality of the settlements and the need to dismantle the existing ones. Concluding his speech, Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the UN congratulated the Palestinian people on the national reconciliation and the formation of a national unity government, thanking Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for his efforts and commitment to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and to establish the State of Palestine with Al-Quds as its capital.
