The Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization has completed the procedures of awarding the third installment of the imported wheat for the year 1435/1436 AH amounting to 780,000 tons from European, North and South American, and Australian origins. The Organization's Director General Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji pointed out that the imported wheat will arrive during the period from September until the end of November of this year on board 13 ships at Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. He stressed that the Organization has contracted to import 2.1 million tons of wheat since the beginning of this year, in addition to the purchase of an amount up to 400,000 tons of wheat from local farmers.
