The 2014 football World Cup was officially opened when three children let white doves fly into the Sao Paulo sky from the centre circle of Sao Paulo's stadium amid sunny atmosphere ahead of the tournament opener between Brazil and Croatia. The four-paragraph ceremony consists of a green presentation, folk dance of Samba, football display and the world cup official song "we are one". The 32-team tournament in 12 Brazilian cities runs until July 13.
