Sharq newspaper indicated that the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant (Daash) is a branch of al-Qaeda in Iraq and came after the start of the Syrian revolution and the revolutionaries achieved advances against the forces of Al-Assad's regime; while in Iraq it came after raising slogans in Anbar against the government of Iraq headed by Nouri al-Maliki, adding that Daash seeks to implement an Iranian plan in the displacement of urban population of Iraq and Syria, and confined them in places controlled by "Daash". Okaz newspaper attacked the Syrian regime for mock presidential elections which are rejected by the Syrian people and the international community.
