Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Chairman of the Federation of the Arab News Agencies (FANA) and Chairman of the News Agencies World Council, announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain will host meetings of the FANA general secretariat commission in coincidence with meetings of Asia and Pacific News Agencies during the period 16-17, June, 2014. In a statement to BNA, Al-Hussian added that Bahrain will also host the first joint meeting of FANA and the executive council of the Organization of Aisa-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), expressing his aspirations that this meeting will lead to a number of memoranda of understanding and agreements between the two sides. "I am happy to come to the Kingdom of Bahrain for participation in the FANA meetings and I thank Bahraini officials for hosting this meeting and warm hospitality.
