President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, here to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Abdulfattah Al-Sisi of Egypt, received a telephone call today from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The Palestinian news agency, which carried the news from Cairo, said Ban Ki-moon confirmed during the meeting that the world organization would work with the new\s Palestinian government, expressing concern over the Israeli continual settlement policy in the occupied west bank and eastern Al-Quds, noting that the UN has repeatedly confirmed that building new residential units in the occupied territories is an illegal measure in view of the international law.
