Palestinian President Receives Phone Call from Canadian Foreign Minister

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received Friday evening a telephone call from Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird.
The Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA" said that the Canadian Foreign Minister stressed during the conversation his country's keenness to establish close ties with the Palestinian National Authority, its opposition to Israeli settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories and its keenness on starting a serious and credible peace process in the (Middle East) region.
