Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. Al-Watan and Al-Sharq newspapers pointed out that the first cable congratulating Egyptian President Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi after assuming power in Egypt, came from Riyadh. The papers noted that this reflects the Saudi faith in Egyptian strategic depth, indicating that the Saudi royal message yesterday included several connotations to peoples inside and outside Egypt alike. They showed that the most prominent of these connotations and messages were summarized by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who described the current stage in Egypt and its crossing of the dark tunnel as the new historical stage in the march of Egypt of Islam and Arabism .
