Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, Arab and international arenas. Most newspapers commented on the statement by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the situation in Egypt. The newspapers hailed the position as courageous, historical, timely and underlined the importance of the position announced by the King. On another issue regarding the negative effect of Palestinian division on peace negotiations, Al-Sharq newspaper called for unity between Fatah and Hamas movements.
