Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. On the advent of the 33rd anniversary of establishing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States on May 25, 1981, Al-Watan newspaper said that the council forms a milestone, not at the level of its Member States only, but also at the regional and international arenas. It explained that when the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called for the transfer to the GCC Union project, his call was built on the vision based on the successes of the past to move toward a positive change in the future.
