The Dutch anti-EU PVV party has unexpectedly lost support in the European Parliament elections and only reached third place, according to an exit poll by Dutch television late Thursday, dpa reported. Support for the far-right, anti-immigrant Party for Freedom, led by Geert Wilders, fell from 17 per cent in 2009 to 12.2 per cent, according to the poll taken by Ipsos for NOS television after voting closed.
