The exact death toll from record flooding Bosnia and Serbia was not known, authorities said Sunday, as waters receded and rescuers recovered more bodies, according to dpa. Some two dozen deaths have been confirmed since heavy rains began sweeping across parts of the Balkans Tuesday, submerging towns and causing landslides. Thousands of people were evacuated. The towns of Doboj in northern Bosnia and Obrenovac in Serbia were the worst affected, authorities said. Doboj Mayor Obren Petrovic said 20 bodies had been brought to the morgue by Sunday.
