Bodies were being recovered Saturday from submerged streets in Serbian and Bosnian towns as the death toll from three days of flooding continued to rise. So far 16 deaths have been confirmed in Bosnia, including two rescuers, the daily Dnevni Avaz said quoting authorities, according to dpa. In the city of Doboj, in the north, six corpses were found in the streets after the water began receding, police chief Gojko Vasic said in Sarajevo. The water, which was up to 4 metres deep at its peak, had dropped to 1.5 metres, police said. The flooding followed record rainfall, dumped by a non-typical, stationary cyclone that has sat above central Balkans since Tuesday. -- SPA 18:18 LOCAL TIME 15:18 GMT تغريد
