The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has occupied the position of Vice Chairman of the Committee on Harnessing Science and Technology for Development of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations for Asia Group, in addition to assuming the task of the Committee's rapporteur in this year's session. The Committee concluded its five-day works last Friday in Geneva. During the meetings of the Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Committee of Asia Group and Director General of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) for International Affairs, Engineer Majed bin Mohammed Al-Mazid said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has successfully accomplished many of the developmental goals agreed internationally, including those contained in the Millennium Declaration, and the indicative targets contained in the Geneva plan action.
