The President of Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Abdullah Bin Fahd Al-Hussein signed with the general manager of "Alardh Almotqan" for commercial services company Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Bassam today a contract for preparing the infrastructure of the new SPA building, picture archiving. The total value of the contract was SR 2,319,762 with an implementation period of a full year. The project is one of the most important work development projects at the Saudi Press Agency as it uses the latest technology to archive and manage images at international news agencies. It will archive all images that represent a historical cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The picture will be made available for review and buying by all interested through a modern digital portal in line with the requirements of e-government. The project will develop a workflow management system for the imaging department at the agency and the outputs of the project will be identical to the standard specifications of global news agencies. The signing of the contract was attended by acting vice president of the agency and director general of news Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al-Awadh, director of systems development Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Abdullatif, Director General of Financial and Administrative Affairs Majed bin Saad Al-Majed and head of the photography department Saud bin Ahmed Al -Harbi.
