Naimi said, adding that "we also want to see the mining investment contributing in the transfer of expertise and technology". It deserves mentioning that Al-Naimi was awarded the Arab Excellence Prize in the Mining Sector in recognition of the efforts of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting the Arab Action System in this field as he chaired the first Arab symposium on Mining Investment Opportunities, presided over the first Arab Consultative Ministerial Meeting for ministers in charge of mining as well as the meetings of the consultative committee for the mineral resources sector over three consecutive years and his patronage of five workshops organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to provide training of Arab cadres.
