Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior considered the holding of the 2nd World Congress for Counter-Terrorism entitled " Terrorism, Intellectual Reviews and Practical Solutions " to be organized by the Islamic University in Madinah tomorrow, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as confirmation of the attention given by the Kingdom's leadership to confront all attempts seeking to undermine the Islamic religion with deviated ideas targeting the distortion of its tolerance and instigating sedition among Muslims , and to protect our citizens from being misguided and exploited as tools to implement the goals of the enemies of religion and the nation to commit crimes contrary to Islam and its principles prohibiting the killing without right. The Prince said in a statement on this occasion, "The Kingdom has succeeded in fighting terrorist crimes through citizens' gathering around their leaders and their support for the efforts of security men in the implementation of their duties, pointing to the Kingdom's keenness in its overall strategy to combat terrorism through the adoption of a policy of confrontation of thought with thought and its quest for this purpose to harness all efforts to confront the deviant thought, uncover its truth and objectives , and protect its citizens from it. He noted that the Interior Ministry was keen to tackle the deficiencies in knowledge of religious teachings for the misguided individuals and address them with specialized programs for counseling and care which have contributed to retreating of more than 90 % of them from these deviated ideas.
