Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. On the main Middle East issue, Alyoum and Alwatan newspapers commented on the Palestinian national conciliation saying that there are no significant differences between the vision of Hamas to resolve the Palestinian issue and the position of Palestinian Authority; both accepted, in public, the peaceful settlement. They both accepted the truce and recognized the existence of two states on the territory of historic Palestine. Yet, the difference is in the clarity of the Palestinian Authority's position and in the manipulation of words by Hamas. It noted that the behavior of Hamas during the past few days and the apology of the government of Ismail Haniyeh for not receiving a negotiation delegation from the West Bank in an attempt to restore cohesion between the powers of Ramallah and Gaza is unacceptable reason and is further evidence of the lack of seriousness of sacked Hamas government. Alyoum said also that this confirms that Hamas' priorities do not include the achievement of national unity or reintegration with the Palestinian Authority, but the absolute subordination to the strategies of the global organization of Muslim Brotherhood group, strategies proved by facts on the ground that they are against the interest of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and self-determination. Also, Alwatan commented on same issue, stressing that Palestinian reconciliation is a vital strategic requirement for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State and not just a matter subjecting to bargaining and tactics. --More 11:20 LOCAL TIME 08:20 GMT تغريد
