Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince expressed on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the best wishes of all success for the leaders of Arab countries at the 25th Arab Summit to be held in Kuwait on Tuesday. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet discussed a number of reports on the latest developments and events at Arab, regional and international arenas. The Cabinet was briefed on the report of Independent International Fact-Finding Committee on Syria, expressing deep concern at the suffering of Syrian refugees as international reports showed the worsening of the sufferings and disaster being experienced by the Syrians, especially children and women, and reaffirming the need to hold accountable the perpetrators of human and war crimes and bring them to justice, stand with the Syrian refugees and provide them with the necessary assistance. The Cabinet emphasized the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the protection and promotion of human rights at the national level and contribution at the regional and international levels, noting that the Kingdom's cooperation with the mechanism of comprehensive periodic review in front of Human Rights Council reflects its keenness that the promotion and protection of human rights is a strategic choice which forms the backbone of the comprehensive development policy adopted by the State, strengthens its foundations at the national level and supports all regional and international efforts that achieve this objective, taking into account the values of the societies and respect for their traditions. --More 15:13 LOCAL TIME 12:13 GMT تغريد
