Cargo carried by a missing Malaysian passenger plane does not seem to be connected to its disappearance based on a preliminary investigation, Malaysian Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein says, according to dpa. "Preliminary investigation of the cargo manifest has not shown any link to anything that might have contributed to [Malaysia Airlines Flight] MH370's disappearance," he says amid concerns that lithium-ion batteries might have caused a fire that led to a catastrophic accident. Hishammuddin says all the cargo in the missing plane were carried in compliance with international safety standards.
