Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to enhance bilateral relations between themselves in all fields, particularly in the field of economy, commerce, investment, security and defense. The came in a final communique issued to mark the end of the official visit by the Bahraini monarch King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Pakistan from 18 -20 March at an invitation of the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The statement said the two countries asserted the importance of further deepening the current close and firm ties binding the two countries on the bases of common factors, hoping to boost these relations through exchange of high-level visits. The also underscored the importance of continuing the current consultation between the two countries through proper channels. The statement added that increasing security and defense cooperation between the two countries is of great importance.
