General Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union Starts Session in Geneva

The General Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union started its session here today with the participation of 715 parliamentarians from 141 countries.
The Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the session.
The four-day session discusses the roles of parliaments in creating a world free of nuclear weapons, and the protection of children's rights in times of armed conflicts.
