Visiting Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang on Monday met Japanese Emperor Akihito, Empress Michiko and political and business leaders, according to dpa. At a business forum in Tokyo later on Monday, the president called for more Japanese investment in his country. "We want you to choose [Vietnam] as a reliable destination for investment," he was quoted by the Kyodo News agency as saying, suggesting greater cooperation in such fields as agriculture, energy, shipbuilding, automotive, and information technology. Sang said Vietnam had high economic growth potential especially at a time when it was working to conclude various free trade pacts.
