An official source stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its disapproval and astonishment over the aggressive and irresponsible statements the Iraqi Prime Minister has recently made to FRANCE 24 Channel in which he haphazardly accused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of supporting terrorism in Iraq. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the source added that "Nouri Al-Malki is well aware before every body of the Kingdom's clear and unequivocal position against terrorism in all its forms and whatever its source. He knows well about the great efforts being exerted by the Kingdom in combating terror at both the local and global levels, putting our country at the forefront countries addressing the phenomenon. Instead of throwing haphazard accusations against others and sending clear signals for sectarian and exclusionary approach from his government against the components of the Iraqi people, the Iraqi Prime Minister should rather take the suitable policies to put an end to the daily chaos and violence overwhelming his country". The source said "it is clear that the purpose of these statements is an attempt to push realities upside-down and blame others of the current situation to cover up the failures of the Iraqi government in the internal affairs whereas Iraq was placed under the service of regional parties and contributed to stoke sectarian strife in Iraq in an unprecedented way that threatens Iraq's national unity and territorial integrity".
