A NATO drone strike killed five Afghan soldiers on
Thursday in the east of the country, dpa cited officials as saying.
The drone struck in Logar province on Thursday morning at 3:30 am
(2300 GMT), and also injured eight others, said General Zahir Azimi,
a spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Defence.
The NATO-led coalition confirmed in a statement that Afghan soldiers
were "accidentally killed during an operation."
