The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated $one million to the High Commission for Human Rights in continuation to its voluntary support for United Nations organizations. This was announced during a meeting between Dr. Bandar Al-Aiban, President of the Human Rights Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is leading his country's delegation to the Human Rights Council meetings, currently ongoing in Geneva, with the High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay in which they discussed ways of cooperation between the two sides. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Aiban vowed support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the High Commission for Human Rights, noting its strenuous efforts to lift sufferings of the Syrian people. For her part, Pillay expressed deep thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the Kingdom's supportive positions towards human rights issues.
