The 32nd Regional Conference of the Near East and North Africa countries of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) started in Rome today.
The conference discussed notably food security, water scarcity, and prevention and reduction of food waste.
Representatives of as many as 26 member countries, including Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Iraq , UAE, Morocco, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Tunisia, Djibouti, Tajikistan, Oman, Cyprus , Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya , Malta, Egypt and Mauritania took part in the event.
