Rescuers have recovered all the bodies of eight teenage boys who drowned a day earlier in a river in southern Malaysia, a fire and rescue official said Saturday, according to dpa. "Three of the bodies of the victims were recovered late Friday while the five others were recovered Saturday," a fire and rescue officer involved in the operation said, but declined to be identified because he was not an authorized spokesman. The eight victims, aged between 13 and 16, were among 13 friends who went for an early-morning jog on Friday along the bank of a river on the outskirts of Segamat town, 145 kilometres south of Kuala Lumpur. Three of the victims decided to take a swim and allegedly struggled in the water due to strong current. Five others tried to save their friends, but were also carried off by the current.
