Dozens of elderly South Koreans were Wednesday preparing to meet relatives from the North, many for the first time in decades, ahead of the first reunions of divided families to be held since 2010, dpa reported. A total of 82 men and women, accompanied by 58 family members, were gathered in the east coast city of Sokcho for medical checkups and etiquette briefings ahead of their trip to the Mount Kumgang resort over the border, a news report said. The group was to leave Thursday for three days of meetings with 180 North Korean relatives, the report said. From Sunday to Tuesday, 88 North Koreans selected by Pyongyang were to hold their own reunions in Kumgang, with 361 relatives from the South.
