A fire gutted a leather plant in the Tunisian province of Safaqes, south of Tunis, today without resulting in human losses. Security sources said the fire was controlled after having gutted nearly 100 sq.m. of the plant, noting that the losses were some elementary and final materials ready for manufacturing shoes as well as sewing machines.
