Naimi pointed to the vital importance of the year 2014 and all the negotiations that were conducted at the time when all are preparing for the convention of Paris Conference 2015, explaining that the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change due to come out later this year will be the most critical scientific document of the future decisions relating to the phenomenon of climate change, and adding that efforts must be synchronized with each other to guarantee the neutrality of the scientific principles that will be applied and make sure not to be politicized. He noted that this year will witness five ministerial meetings and a summit meeting of heads of the concerned states, stressing that this issue is gaining further momentum and strength, and adding that major challenges are ahead of us, but I believe that we stand in a strong position to meet these challenges and overcome them as long as we are united, interconnected with each other, and working together focusing on our common goals. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources affirmed that this meeting is a clear evidence that we apply this principle and we are moving in the right direction.
