A Delegation of Saudi-U.S Parliamentary Friendship Committee of Majlis Al-Shura, currently on a visit to the United States, has confirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States and their durability, especially in economic and trade areas. Majlis Al-Shura member and Chairman of the committee Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Awad headed the Kingdom's delegation to the meetings of the Saudi-U.S Parliamentary Friendship Committee. In a statement, Dr. Khalid Al-Awad said that trade exchange between the two countries and common investment companies are proof indications of their strategic relations, stressing the importance of the knowledge base economy, transfer and localization of technology to the Kingdom through the U.S companies investing in the Kingdom. He also asserted the importance of enhancing ways to develop business relationships and explore more investment opportunities in the two countries. This came during the meeting of Majlis Al-Shura's delegation with the Saudi-U.S Business Council in Washington, headed by Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Edward Burton and with the Chairman of the Committee on Relations for the Middle East and North Africa at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Kush Chwski.
