A pair of crashes caused by vehicles driving in the wrong direction have killed 11 people in the US states of California and Florida, according to local news reports Monday. Olivia Carolee Culbreath, 21, was arrested in California on charges of manslaughter and suspicion of drunk driving after allegedly speeding at 160 kilometres per hour the wrong way on the 60 Freeway in Pomona, east of Los Angeles, according to the LA Times. Culbreath's car struck two SUVs head-on, killing six people (five women and one man), two of them passengers in her car. Pictures from the scene showed the vehicles reduced to mangled chunks of metal. Culbreath was reported in serious condition in a southern California hospital. In the Florida crash four male students from the University of South Florida were killed when their vehicle was struck by an SUV travelling in the wrong direction on Interstate 275 in Tampa, according to Tampabay.com. The driver of the SUV was also killed in the incident. Police are looking for a woman who posted a video of the crash on YouTube, including extensive footage of the SUV driving in the wrong direction.
