Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited here today the United Arab Emirates where he met with General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister. During the meeting, issues of common interest, latest developments in the region and distinguished relations between the two countries regarding a continuous coordination and consultation were discussed. Following the meeting, in line with the firm stances of the two countries supporting the rights of the Syrian people to self-determination and to defend themselves against the crimes of the Syrian regime, Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed a decision of the National Coalition of Revolutionary Forces and Syrian Opposition to participate in Geneva II Conference. They confirmed that the aim of the conference is to put end to the suffering of the Syrian people through a real political shift with no participation of Al-Assad regime in accordance with the declaration of Geneva I conference and the UN Secretary General's speech, which is supported by the international community, stressing stances of the countries supporting the Syrian people as stated in declarations of London 2013 and Paris 2014.
