AlQa'dah 7, 1434, Sep 13, 2013, SPA -- France, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan stress necessity to continue firmly towards the Syrian regime to dissuade it from repeating the use of chemical weapons and push the regime towards the commitment to negotiate based on reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis. This came during a session of talks held by French President Francois Hollande today at Elysee Palace with Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. In a statement issued today by the French presidency, this meeting is an opportunity to assess the latest developments of the Syrian crisis and coordinate the stances of France with three partners on the next steps to be taken in this regard. "The French president and the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan stress importance of strengthening international support for the Syrian opposition to enable them to cope with the intransigency of the regime in Damascus which is in favor of the radical movements in Syria and could threaten the regional and international security," the statement added. The four partners confirmed their joint commitment to work on the establishment of free and united Syria respecting the safety and rights of all communities.
