China's President Chi Jin Peng received at the presidency palace in Beijing today members of the GCC side taking part in the 3rd ministerial joint meeting for strategic dialogue between the GCC and China, led by Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of Kuwait, who is also current rotatory president of the GCC ministerial council. The delegation, representing the six-nation group, was accompanied by the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani. During the meeting, the Chinese President lauded the role of GCC countries in the regional and international arenas, confirming the support of his country for the GCC efforts in this concern. For his part, Al-Sabah confirmed the keenness and interest of the GCC member states to promote their relations with China within the current strategic dialogue between the two sides.
