The progress of Greek economic reforms will be the focus during a two-day visit by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Athens starting Thursday, dpa reported. Steinmeier will conduct talks with Greek counterpart Evangelos Venizelos at 6:30 pm (1630 GMT) Thursday. He will meet with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Friday. Greece officially took over the six-month rotating presidency of the European Union on January 1 as it continues its efforts to recover from six years of recession. An official ceremony was staged in Athens in the presence of senior EU officials on Wednesday.
