Faisal confirms the talks he had with Pakistani leadership reflect the deep-rooted relations between the two countries 4 Islamabad As regards Afghanistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia suggests that the situation in Afghanistan is heading to a crossroad in view of the imminent U.S. and international forces withdrawal, a matter requiring that all Afghanis should reject selfish and narrowly-viewed interests and look for the sake of their nation's interests, unity and regional integration as well as the steadfast against any attempt aiming at bringing any foreign party to fill the security gap in Afghanistan which will try to penetrate among the Afghani people to spread sectarian poison that worsen the injuries of Afghanis. On Syrian crisis, let me, first, congratulate the Syrian National Coalition on the re-election of Ahmed Al-Jarba as President of the group and point to the inconvenient statements recently issued by some international parties that are classified as going contrary to the efforts aiming at making Geneva 2 a success. We fear that the objective of such statements is to push Geneva 2 out of the rail and, thus, away from implementing the outcome of Geneva 1. In this regard, we reiterate our support for the points raised in Syrian Friends Conference in London recently, notably that the conference would conduce a political process to be based on forming a transitional government with full-fledging powers that, first of all, deprive Assad and his junta from any role in it. The second factor is that the Syrian National Coalition will be considered the sole and legitimate representative of the entire Syrian opposition spectrum. --More 21:20 LOCAL TIME 18:20 GMT تغريد
