Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of domestic, regional and international issues. Albilad newspaper stressed that the kingdom's position on the Palestinian issue is clear and contained in the Arab peace initiative launched by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and adopted by the Beirut Arab Summit in 2002. It explained that the visit of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to the kingdom came in the framework of continuous consultations between the two countries and exchange of views and ideas with regard to the course of the process of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations leading to identical views on the need to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in accordance with the principles and resolutions of international legitimacy and the land for peace and the Arab initiative. The newspaper noted that the excellent relations between the Kingdom and the United States are in the framework of common interests and constructive cooperation for the stability of this vital region, consolidation of security, justice and international peace and renunciation and fight of extremism and terrorism as well as to achieve peaceful coexistence among peoples and civilizations. --More 10:48 LOCAL TIME 07:48 GMT تغريد
