Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a speech in which he thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, for their continuous support for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "The keenness and support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince are behind all the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' achievements and its efforts to develop and modernize its mechanisms and regulations and which constitute a strong stimulus to become more active and vigorous," he said. "From this standpoint, the ministry has exerted efforts to develop its performance targeting to achieve its the priorities of the plans within the limits of available capabilities. It was, thus, embarked on implementing them through a package of ways and means, top of which came the periodical conferences for the heads of missions abroad. The fruitful outcomes of the first and second meetings have encouraged us to hold a more promising third meeting as we have already accomplished the firm bases for it. It has been decided to hold it under the theme "Saudi diplomacy: True State of Affairs and Challenges". A number of specific important points related to the sectors of the ministry were discussed and proper recommendations were taken. The Ministry will implement them in pursuit of continuous improvement and development of its performance and to keep up with the aspirations of the wise leadership aiming to strengthen the position of the Kingdom in the international community, maintain its international relations and take care and protect the interests of the Kingdom and its citizens abroad," the Minister of Foreign Affairs added. "These are heads of missions abroad who came to renew their loyalty. They came to you to benefit of your wisdom and insightful vision. They also look forward to the guidance that guides them to perform their duties on the way that you hope and wish. They came to you to confirm that they are keen to convey to the world a clear message that this noble country which is based on the Islamic religion is a country of love, peace and harmony .. a base of construction, development and tender .. a source of values and authenticity," Prince Saud added. "Its foundations were laid since era of King Abdulaziz, founder, and are still in the era of King of reforms and construction, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud," Prince Saud stressed. Finally, we need to listen to your directives, bright visions, long experience, and wisdom based on your personality," Prince Saud concluded.
