New car sales in the European Union increased for a third consecutive month in November, but were losing some traction, dpa cited data released on Tuesday as showing. Sales rose by 1.2 per cent to 938,021 vehicles, compared with the same month last year, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). The figure followed year-on-year increases of 4.7 per cent in October and 5.4 per cent in September. In the first 11 months of this year, a total of around 10.9 million new cars were registered, 2.7 per cent less than the same period in 2012, ACEA said.
